About Inside Videography
In this blog we jot down accounts of our adventures in the world of videographic research. The site is maintained by Joel Hietanen from the Aalto University School of Economics and Joonas Rokka from Rouen Business School, France.
Joel Hietanen is a researcher for the Department of Marketing and is currently preparing his doc thesis regarding, what else, than the implications of the video medium in consumer research and academic publishing. Joel’s other research interests include a broad range of topics form consumer tribes and forum cultures (netnography) to project marketing and business model innovation.
Joonas Rokka is assistant professor of marketing at Rouen Business School. His research interests include new media, consumer culture, and research methods such as videography and netnography. His doctoral dissertation adopts a translocal perspective to the study of cultures both IRL and virtual (and especially the connection between them). Joonas’s other publications include netnographic studies on various online consumer communities and the cultural implications of brands.

Hi!
I wonder if you’d like to share your research results so far. (besides what’s on your website)
I’m doing my Masters’ Thesis on video as a communication tool in the customer value chain, and I’d love to see what you’ve come up with. Hard evidence, gut feelings, references… anything.
Please contact me, and we’ll talk more.
Thanks in advance!
br, Otto
Hey Otto, sorry for the loooong delay in answering.
We’ve been quite dug in lately, but if this is still relevant to you, we’d be happy to hook up!
Dinner sometime?
